BetterQR vs Flowcode: which suits a small brand?
For a small brand putting QR codes on posters and flyers, BetterQR gives you analytics on 50,000 scans a month from £11/month, billed monthly, and the next tier is £99/month. If you need lots of codes with built-in landing pages, CRM integrations or an enterprise contract, Flowcode is the stronger fit.

What is the difference between BetterQR and Flowcode?
Flowcode is a QR code and landing page platform aimed at brands that want to turn scans into customer data. Its higher tiers add CRM and CDP integrations, an audience builder and enterprise workspaces. BetterQR is narrower: dynamic QR codes for print and out-of-home advertising, with scan analytics per placement so you can see which poster, flyer or billboard worked.
The biggest practical difference for a small brand is how the pricing steps up between tiers.
How do the plans compare?
Flowcode's prices are in US dollars and BetterQR's are in pounds, so we haven't converted them.

|---|---|---|
| Free plan | Unlimited static QR codes | Up to 2 Flowcodes, analytics for up to 500 scans, ad free |

How big is the jump between Flowcode's tiers?
Flowcode's Pro Plus plan is $25/month, billed annually. The next plan listed, Growth, is shown at $250 and marked “Annual only”. Above that are Growth Plus, which is usage based, and Enterprise, which is custom priced. Pro Plus can be billed monthly, but at $60/month: the $25 price needs a year up front.
So the question for a small brand is what happens when you outgrow Pro Plus. Its plan card lists analytics for up to 6,000 scans. Growth lists analytics for the first 10,000 scans with geo-location data, CRM integrations, API access and priority support, at ten times the price.
BetterQR's steps are smaller: Pro is £11/month billed monthly, Business is £99/month and Enterprise is £299/month, and every paid plan can be billed monthly or annually. Annual billing saves about 18%. See the full limits on the pricing page.
Which gives you more QR codes for the money?
On the entry plans, Flowcode does. Pro Plus allows up to 50 Flowcodes and landing pages, against 15 dynamic codes on BetterQR Pro. If you need 30 to 50 codes and stay within Pro Plus's scan analytics allowance, Flowcode Pro Plus is likely the better deal.
BetterQR gives more scan headroom at the entry level. Pro includes 50,000 scans a month with analytics. Say you put codes on 10 bus shelters and each one gets 800 scans a month. That is 8,000 scans a month, which is within BetterQR Pro but above the 6,000 scans of analytics on Flowcode's Pro Plus card.
Which tracks print placements better?
Both tools let you give each placement its own code and compare scans. BetterQR is organised around that workflow: codes grouped into campaigns, placements compared side by side by scans and time of day, UTM parameters on destinations so visits show up in Google Analytics 4, and print-ready PDF and EPS files from Pro. Business adds location and device tracking, CSV export and bulk upload from a spreadsheet when you have one code per venue. If you cancel, your dynamic codes keep redirecting.
Flowcode's strength is what happens after the scan. Its plans bundle landing pages with codes, and its upper tiers add CRM and CDP integrations and an audience builder. If your goal is to capture customer data at the point of scan, that is a real advantage.

Can you ask an AI about your scans in BetterQR or Flowcode?
In BetterQR, yes. Business and Enterprise include two AI features, both in beta. The in-app assistant answers plain-English questions such as “which poster got the most scans last week?” or “where are people scanning the bus shelter codes?”, draws the chart, and can draft new QR codes, campaigns or a CSV report for you to confirm.
The remote MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP-compatible assistants read your QR codes, campaigns and scan data, so you can ask about a campaign from the assistant you already use. It is read-only and connects through a sign-in you approve. While both features are in beta, access is on request.
Flowcode's pricing page lists one AI feature: SmartFlow, which routes visitors to the best-performing landing page variant, on Enterprise. We couldn't find an AI assistant for scan data or an MCP server.
When is BetterQR the better choice?
- You want to pay monthly and move up in smaller steps as your campaigns grow.
- Your codes get a lot of scans. Pro includes analytics on 50,000 scans a month, and Business on 1M.
- You care most about comparing printed placements and already have the website or landing pages you want people to reach.
- You want to ask an AI about your scans. BetterQR Business includes an in-app assistant and an MCP server, both in beta.
- You want free static codes for one-off uses, from the free generator with no sign-up.
When is Flowcode the better choice?
Flowcode is the better choice if:
- You want dynamic codes for free. Flowcode's Free plan includes up to 2 Flowcodes and is listed as ad free. BetterQR's free plan only makes static codes.
- You need many codes at a low price. Pro Plus allows up to 50 Flowcodes and landing pages for $25/month billed annually.
- You want landing pages built in. Flowcode counts landing pages in its plan limits; BetterQR points codes at pages you already have.
- You need CRM or CDP integrations, an audience builder or enterprise workspaces. Flowcode lists these on its Growth and higher plans.
- Several people need access on a small plan. Pro Plus lists 3 collaboration seats; BetterQR Pro has 1 team member.
How do I switch from Flowcode to BetterQR?
A printed dynamic code always points at its provider's short link, so you can't transfer Flowcodes that are already in print. Keep existing placements running for as long as you need them, and create BetterQR codes for new or reprinted placements. Check each one with the QR code tester before printing.
How did we check these details?
We read Flowcode's public pricing page and help centre on 20 October 2026 and linked both under the table. Its pricing card lists 3 collaboration seats for Pro Plus while its comparison table lists 5 platform seats; we have used the plan card figure. Its help centre says Flowcodes keep scanning if you downgrade to the free plan, with only the 2 most recent codes still editable. If anything here is out of date, tell us and we'll correct it.
